How we write our NetSuite guides
We draft the guides on our blog with AI tools, and our team reviews them. This page explains where the topics come from and what we check.
Where the topics come from
Our team picks every topic. We start from the questions NetSuite admins, accountants and developers keep asking: an error message that won't go away, a saved search that returns the wrong rows, a script that runs out of governance units halfway through a batch. If a question keeps coming up and the answer is hard to find, it goes on our list.
How a guide gets written
We use AI tools to write the first draft. That lets us cover far more of these questions than we could by hand. A draft is a starting point, so our team reviews each one and fixes what's wrong or unclear.
What we check
- The steps match the menus, record names and permissions NetSuite uses today.
- Code samples use SuiteScript 2.1 and real field, record and table IDs.
- SuiteQL and saved search examples use the real table and column names.
- Claims about how NetSuite behaves line up with Oracle's documentation.
We also go back over published guides. When we correct one, the new date appears next to "Updated" at the top of the article.
Why there's no personal byline
Each guide is signed by the Suite Utils editorial team. The company picks the topics, reviews the drafts and fixes the mistakes, so the company's name goes on the result.
Before you use a guide
Every NetSuite account is configured differently. Try a script, workflow or saved search change in a sandbox before you run it in production. The guides explain how NetSuite works. They are not accounting, tax or legal advice for your company.
Found a mistake?
Email [email protected] or use the contact form. Tell us which guide and what's wrong. We fix confirmed errors and update the date on the guide.
